On Friday, August 20th, more than 130 golfers participated in the Hansel Auto Group Golf Challenge at Rooster Run Golf Club in Petaluma, raising a record $67,054 to support after-school programming for Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin. The annual event is in its 31st year, with title sponsor Hansel Auto Group helping cover the green fees for the 33 participating foursomes.
The 4-person scramble tournament was won by Reyff Electric’s team, with Wells Fargo Auto and InterWest Insurance Services taking 2nd and 3rd Place, respectively. All received etched wine bottles from Hafner Vineyard.
Golfers were treated to an array of food and beverages during play at various “theme holes” provided by sponsors WarPigs BBQ and Simply Solar, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Lost Republic Distillery, Amy’s Wicked Slush, Loan Depot, and Assurant. Other major sponsors of the event included Cross Country Mortgage, Hennessy Advisors, Inc., Basin Street Properties, and Toyota North America.
